OUR STORY

At Friends of Irgun Nechei Zahal (formerly Beit HaLochem USA / FIDV), we proudly stand as

the one official organization recognized and supervised by the Israeli government to serve all of Israel's wounded warriors — from every branch of Israel's security forces:  the IDF, Mossad, Shin Bet, police, fire, and other defense services.

Founded in 1949 by the wounded, for the wounded, our mission encompasses not just the warriors themselves, but their entire families who face the journey of recovery alongside them. Through our nationwide network of four, soon to be five, cutting-edge rehabilitation centers across Israel, we provide comprehensive, lifelong care that evolves with our members' changing needs throughout their entire lives.

Since October 7th, our community has grown by over 16,000 new members — many of them younger and facing different challenges, including a dramatic rise in PTSD and invisible injuries. In response, we are expanding our programs, strengthening our services, and adapting to meet the unique needs of this new generation of warriors and their families.

As the sole official organization entrusted with this sacred responsibility, we are humbled and proud to walk beside all our wounded warriors throughout their lifetime journey — from their first moments of recovery through decades of healing, achievement, and hope. Our commitment extends from the moment of injury to every milestone thereafter, ensuring no warrior or their family ever walks alone.
